A small snippet of some of the pictures I took of the amazing space that is Hatch Show Print over the course of my internship in September & October 2018. It really is a unique and special place and everybody who works there is so knowledgeable and passionate about letterpress - if you ever have the chance go visit!!!

ISLE OF PRINTING

Isle of Printing is the brain child of Bryce McCloud and their philosophy of using the "positive power of creativity to make our world a more interesting place" is something that shines through on all of their projects. They work a lot with other local community business such as Noelle and Pinewood Social to make engaging public art and their HQ in the Pie Town district of Nashville is a veritable treat of creativeness for the eyes - a Willy Wonka's factory of print!   

FLYING MONKEY MARATHON

This was one of the last poster designs I worked on and printed during my time as a Hatch Show Print intern and boy was it a good one! So much fun to design and print - thanks to the Harpeth Hills Flying Monkey Marathon team for being such a delight to work with!

 

NAKED MAGICIANS

As you can probably guess I had great fun working on this design with fellow interns, Laurel Tyree, Violet Stubbs and Will Wood. It was the first design assigned to us as part of our internship at Hatch Show Print and we worked on it and printed it as a group - team work makes the dream work!

John Jarrold Print Museum

One of Norwich's top unknown resources is the John Jarrold Print Museum. It houses a huge variety of printing presses and is run by a small team of dedicated volunteers. If you go down there on a Wednesday morning they will help you out with any particular projects you might have an will pass on their invaluable skills. I have been going down there to work on a poster....
